Window cleaning cost in Narva — prices and how often

The most common question we get about window cleaning is simple: what does it cost? The honest answer is that the price depends less on the number of windows and more on how hard they are to reach and what has built up on them. Two houses of similar size can cost very differently if one is single-storey with a flat roof and the other is two floors with a pitched roof and planting all around.

That is why we only give a firm price after a walk-through. But the ballpark figures exist and they help you budget. Below are typical Narva and Ida-Viru ranges, with what moves them.

These are for guidance, not final. A regular schedule (say, quarterly for a shop) lowers the per-visit price, because there is less build-up and the work is faster.

What affects the window cleaning price

• Number and size of windows — large glazed units are faster per square metre than many small divided-light windows.
• Floors and height — a second storey means a ladder or pole and more time spent on safety.
• Access — planting, fences, roof overhangs and tight passages slow the work down.
• Type of soiling — ordinary dust rinses off easily; construction residue, paint spatter and hard water scale need extra work.
• Whether frames and sills are included — clean glass in a dirty frame does not look right, so we usually include them.

How often to clean windows in Estonia's climate

Twice a year suits most Narva houses: once in spring, when pollen and winter road salt have been washed off, and once in autumn before the dark period. The sea and wind lay a salt film on windows in Narva and Narva-Jõesuu that otherwise dries on and starts to haze the glass.

Retail and offices keep a tighter schedule, because first impressions matter: shopfronts are often cleaned monthly or quarterly. Restaurants and cafés, where glass meets hands and steam, need it more often still.

DIY or hire a professional

Ground-floor windows can often be done yourself. The difference shows up in two places: streaks and height. A professional result comes from soft water, the right squeegee and technique, not a more expensive cleaner. Higher up it becomes a safety question — a second-floor window off a ladder without protection is not worth the saving.

For higher and hard-to-reach windows we use a water-fed pole, which cleans with purified water from the ground up to the third floor without a ladder. It is both safer and leaves the glass streak-free, because purified water dries without marks.
