Pressure washing cleans with force and suits hard surfaces like paving, concrete and asphalt. Soft washing cleans with low pressure and a purpose-made solution, and suits sensitive surfaces — façades, roofs, painted wood — because it doesn't damage the material and kills algae and moss at the root. That's why the result lasts longer.

No, not with a soft wash. High pressure strips the protective granules off a roof and shortens its lifespan, which is why we never use pressure on a roof. Soft washing plus a protective treatment cleans it safely and keeps it moss-free for longer.

Façades and roofs usually need a soft wash every 2–4 years, shaded and north-facing surfaces more often. Paving, driveways and terraces look best pressure washed once a year, usually in spring. We recommend checking gutters twice a year — in spring and again in autumn after the leaves fall.
