Soft washing keeps the finish intact
High pressure drives water behind render and cladding boards, where it leaks or freezes in winter, and strips the finish off painted surfaces. On a façade we use low pressure and a solution that does the work chemically rather than by force.

Preparation
We cover windows, doors, electrical connections and planting, and pre-wet the surfaces.

Cleaning solution
We apply the solution at low pressure from the bottom up, so it spreads evenly and doesn't streak.

Dwell time
We let the solution work. It breaks down algae, mould and grime, so none of it has to be scraped off by force.

Rinse
We rinse top down at low pressure, watching that water doesn't get behind the joints.

Protective treatment
On request we apply a protective coat that keeps the façade clean for longer and slows the algae coming back.

Does soft washing really get a façade clean?
Yes. The solution does the work, not the pressure — it breaks down algae, mould and grime, which then rinse off. The result is more even than pressure washing, because no patch gets scoured harder than the one next to it.
Will a painted façade survive washing?
An intact paint layer takes soft washing well — which is exactly why we don't use pressure. If the paint is already flaking in places, we check it at the inspection and tell you honestly if washing would take it off along with the dirt.
How often should a façade be washed?
Usually every 2–4 years. Shaded and north-facing walls need it more often, sun-facing walls less.
Do you clean tall buildings?
Yes. Taller façades are cleaned from a lift or in a safety harness. Apartment buildings and commercial premises are our core clients.
